PRIESTLEY, Irene Adele
September 7, 1945 - April 9, 2017
On Sunday April 9th, 2017, Adele Priestley of Chilliwack passed away peacefully after a long battle with rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 71 years surrounded by her loving family. Adele was predeceased by her parents Cle and Irene Mitchell, her sister Shirley and brother-in-law Glenn Balding. She is survived by her loving husband Bill, her three sons Kelly (Linda), Todd and Tim (Brenda), sisters Lorrie (Jack), Beryl (Lou) and Dixie (Fred), as well as by many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was a loving wife, proud mother, trusted friend and she had a heart of gold. Adele and Bill lived in Maple Ridge for 30 years and, after the boys had grown up, Adele completed a Library Technician course at Langara College. After this she worked at the school library for several happy years.
Family and friends will gather at the burial site at Valley View Cemetary, 14644 - 72nd Avenue, Surrey, BC on Monday, May 8, at 1pm as Adele is laid to rest. Afterwards all are invited to a reception at First United Church, 15385 Semiahmoo Ave, White Rock. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Arthritis Society.
