LJUNGGREN Jennifer Norah

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jennifer Norah Ljunggren (nee Finlayson) on December 6th after a courageous year-long battle with cancer. Jenni had an immense love for the environment, spending a great deal of her time devoted to many causes, most notably preserving the Alouette River. As much as she loved the environment, her true love was her four children, whom she committed her life to. Jenni always put her own needs aside in order to focus her attention on her children, which included not only her own four kids, but also numerous others whom she “adopted” as her own. She is survived by her children Norison, Sarah (Josh), Julian, and Chelsea, as well as her sister Martha (Gordon), nephew Sirett, and countless friends and relatives who will miss her dearly. A public service will be held on Saturday, December 20th at 11am at Garden Hill Funeral Chapel, 11765 224th Street Maple Ridge. Please join us and celebrate the life of a truly remarkable woman. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Alouette River Management Society.
