SIKORA - Jessie Lydia (nee Wright) our much loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on the evening of September 15th, 2009, at the wonderful age of 101. She was predeceased by her brother Bill (1945), brother Ben (1975), sister Merle (1999), husband George J. (1984) and son George B. (2001). Long time residents of Vancouver, mom and dad moved to their new home on Fraserview Street in Maple Ridge in early 1970. Their house became the hub for after school visits from the grandchildren and their little friends, ending with milk and cookies. Her ever present kindness and generosity extended to all whose lives she touched. She is survived by her daughter Barbara (Heiki), daughter-in-law Maureen, grandsons Paul and Rob (Andrea) and great-granddaughter Haley, niece Barbara Jones and nephew Allan Rose, dear friends and neighbors. Special thanks to Dr. Frank Lim. A celebration of her life was held on Saturday, September 19. 2009 at Garden Hill Funeral Home 11765 - 224th Street, Maple Ridge, B.C. In lieu of flowers, a memorial tribute to the BC Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
