SEIGO Kathleen Anne (Geherman)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen Anne Seigo at 81 years of age. Kathleen was born to Fred & Rosie Geherman on their farm in Cherhill, Alberta, the fifth of seven children. Kathleen (Kay) moved to Haney (Maple Ridge) and married her Air Force sweetheart, Leonard in 1948 and had four children. Kay was an active member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church C.W.L. in Haney for many years. Maple Ridge was her home until she moved to Campbell River in 2007. Kathleen is predeceased by her loving husband Leonard, son David and granddaughter Deanna. She leaves her daughter Lenore and sons Raymond (Rita) and Larry. Grandma also leaves 8 grandchildren: Bradley (Angela), Laura (Jeremy), Selena, Amanda (John), Michelle, Lindsey and Garrett along with 5 great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly. Kathleen is also survived by her brother Rudy and sister Marge (both living in Alberta). Kay enjoyed working in her rose garden, but her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. The family is grateful for the compassionate care and support from the staff at New Horizons Care Facility in Campbell River where she spent the last years of her life. Thank you to Dr. Wilcox for his special care of our mother. Kathleen was courageous in her battle with Parkinson's disease. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Parkinson's Association. Funeral service will be held Friday, March 6th, 2009 at 12:00 noon at St. Patrick's Catholic Church 22587 - 121st Ave. Maple Ridge Interment to follow in Maple Ridge Cemetery.
