Kathy Marquis died peacefully in Ridge Meadows Hospital at the age of 61. She was the proud and loving grandmother of Brylee and Shelby and the most loyal and loving friend and family member anyone could ever have. She was predeceased by her childhood inspiration, Joan Norris, who would be so very proud. Kathy will be greatly missed for the depth of her intuitive understanding and wise counsel, her courage and persistence in the face of adversity, and her unyielding compassion and generosity. Earnest, idealistic, and selfless to a fault, she never lost sight of what was important, however misunderstood or vulnerable this made her. Her creative talents were many and her dedication to others unflinching. Countless people are better off because she lived and loved. Thank you, dear Mom, with all our hearts. Family and friends would like to thank Dr. Auersperg, Dr. Ervin and the nurses and doctors at Ridge Meadows Hospital, as well as her family physician, Dr. Fetaz, who were skilled, attentive, and gentle in their care. In lieu of flowers or a service, family and friends are welcomed to "pay it forward" with a "random act of kindness" that brings comfort or cheer to a friend, family member, or complete stranger just as Kathy did so many times each each day.
