ROBSON - "Les" - Lester
James born in Didsbury, Alberta December 8, 1918, passed away peacefully January 8th 2007 at Ridge Meadows Hospital at the age of 88. Predeceased by his first wife Catherine "Kit", nee Mewhort. Survived by his wife Marina, "Perk"; sister Belle; son Gordon (Mary); daughter Mary (Monte) Cordoni, eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Will be lovingly missed by Candy, Janice and their families. Les was raised on a farm in the Sumas Prairie with his six older brothers and sisters. He moved to Maple Ridge in 1947 with his bride "Kit", an RN he met at the Chilliwack Hospital. He and Kit raised their family and for 33 years he managed the Haney B&K Feedstore which later became Buckerfield's until his retirement. Special thanks to Dr. Chapman and all of the nursing staff who cared for him in his final days. A service will be held Sunday, January 14th, at 3pm at Garden Hill Funeral Chapel, 11765 - 224th St. in Maple Ridge. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
