BEGLAW, Loretta Gertrude

75 years of Willow Manor passed away on July 05, 2008. Loretta was born in Medicine Hat Alberta, spent the earlier part of her life in Vauxhall, AB where she married the love of her life Martin in 1954. They lived in Banff, AB for a brief period of time then moved to Kimberley, BC prior to moving to Coquitlam in 1966 where she lived for 20 years. During this time she worked at the New Westminster Court House for 18 years. In 1986 Loretta moved to Maple Ridge where she has lived since. She then worked for Carlton Cards as their stock merchandiser for the Maple Ridge area for many years. She was an avid golfer, loved her garden which she tended with Scamper the cat who was her constant companion at home, was a member of The Silvertones and was a Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary Eagles - Branch #2831 also served in various other committee positions for several years with them.

Loretta is survived by daughters Cheryl (Frank), Marilyn (Tom), a son Wayne (Julie), 7 grandchildren, 2 brothers Ken (Myrna) and Marvin (Donna), numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Martin in 1967 and Scamper a few years ago, A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Maple Ridge Funeral Chapel 11969 – 216 St, Maple Ridge on Friday July 18, 2008 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Loretta’s memory to the B.C. Cancer Society.
