TAMMINGA, Margaret

(nee Donselaar)

Feb. 28, 1948 to Sept. 12, 2008

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Margaret Tamminga, devoted, loving wife, caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

After a courageous, long battle with rheumatoid arthritis and then suffering with some unexplained type of dementia, Margaret’s body gave up when her heart didn’t want to. She died peacefully surrounded by loved ones at the young age of 60. She is predeceased by her loving, cherished parents Jan and Connie Donselaar.

She will be forever missed by the love of her life Peter Tamminga, her precious children Monique and Rod, son-in-law Darren, and daughter-in-law Evelyn, her wonderful grandchildren Bailey and Mitchell, her loving sister Corrie, her caring sister-in-law Simona and husband Hans, brother-in-law, Jack and wife Leny, nieces and nephews and dear friends Jean and Steve, Alice and Jack and many others.

Margaret was an angel among us whose warm smile will be remembered fondly. She was one of those rare people who despite her physical challenges, remained positive and happy, never speaking a bad word about anybody and never judging. Her happiest moments, of which there were many, was when she was with her Peter along with family and friends, having a cup of coffee and sharing a few laughs. Many thanks for the care she received at Buchanon Lodge and for the two days at Royal Columbian’s ICU.

The funeral was held on Thursday, Sept 18, at the Maple Ridge Christian Reformed Church at 1:30 p.m.
