Marie of Maple Ridge passed away suddenly but peacefully a day after spending a wonderful Christmas with all of her family. Predeceased by her husband Vern and her sister Eleanor, she leaves to mourn her children Bryan (Lorraine), Linda (Bob) and Glen (Gail). She was a loving Grandma to Christa, David (Courtney), Glen, Heather, Jill, Ian, Billy and Pamela. She will be greatly missed by her four sisters in Winnipeg and many other friends and relatives. Marie was born in Winnipeg and began her family life in Vancouver in 1947. Her astonishing memory, passion of knowledge, comprehensive story telling, wonderful home cooking and her love of family will be greatly missed by all. Marie was a remarkable lady. Many thanks to the caring staff and Dr. Joan Eddy of Eagle Ridge Hospital. A Memorial Service was held at St. John the Divine 21299 River Road, Maple Ridge at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 2, 2006. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the BC Lung Association PO Box 34009 Station D, Vancouver, B.C. V6J 9Z9.
