Surrounded by her loving family, Marion Manson passed away peacefully at Baillie House in Maple Ridge, BC February 2, 2009.

Marion was born in Nanaimo to Benjamin and Flo Buchanan (nee: Dick) at her grandparent's home on Comox Rd. She was raised in Five Acres then moved to Vancouver following her marriage to Wes E.L. Manson in 1959. She was pre- deceased by Wes in 1965.

Marion was known for being the life of the party. She loved music and was always the first one on the dance floor. Some of her hobbies included gardening, reading and challenging herself with a good crossword puzzle.

She leaves behind her four children, Donna Fiddick (husband Bob), Louise Murphy, Gary Manson (wife Linda), Darlene Bampton (husband Bruce), ten grandchildren, Larry (wife Kristine), Mitchell, Lorrie, Ron, Janet (husband Dave), Carly, Kelsey, Melanie, Tyler, Blake, six great grandchildren and predeceased by one great grandson. Also predeceased by two brothers, Ben and Earle Buchanan; two sisters, Irene Gaudreau and June Stuckenberg. Survived by one sister Cath Filek. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

Service will be held in Nanaimo at St. Andrews United Church on Fitzwilliam St., Saturday February 7th at 4pm. She will be interred with her much loved and missed husband Wes during a private family graveside service.

We will miss you Mom, grandma, great grandma, sister, aunt and friend.

We'd like to thank the staff at both Ridge Meadows Emergency dept and Baillie House who provided great compassion and care to Marion.
