BURBANK ~ Max
Feb 6, 1941 - April 16, 2009
Max passed away at home surrounded by everyone he loved the most: his wife of 39 years, Sandra Burbank, and all of his children, Kirsti (Burbank) Hardie, John Paul Burbank, Nicole Burbank and Michelle (Burbank) Lee. Max also leaves behind 6 adoring grandchildren, his mother June Burnham Purchase, and brother Jared Burbank. Max was born in Claresholm Alberta and grew up a farm boy from Southern Alberta who went on to receive a PhD in Solid State Physics from Simon Fraser University in 1972. He later served on the Board of Governors of SFU between 1977-1981. Max was one of the founders of CTF Systems, a research and development company specializing in MEG technology. His work allowed him to combine two of his passions: technology and travel, which took him to all corners of the world. Max will be deeply missed and leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, education, and happy family life. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday April 22nd at 6:30 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints 11750 - 207th St. Maple Ridge.
