Michelle May "Shelly" (nee Neely)
July 12, 1955 ~ April 25, 2006
Shelly passed away peacefully at Ridge Meadows Hospital surrounded by her loved ones after fighting a brief, but hard battle with cancer. She tackled this obstacle with the help of many Ridge Meadows Hospital staff. The task became too hard to complete.
Shelly was predeceased by her birth mother Enid, father Tom. She leaves to mourn her husband of over 29 years Tom, daughter Christine, son Ross, mother Betty, brothers John (Rose), Norm and son Jeff, sisters-in-law Gail, Marj (Rick) and brother-in-law John (Donna). She loved and was loved by all her cousins Jennifer, Vivian, Marji, Jonnie, Chris, Cam, Scott, Shaun and many other relatives. She met many lifelong friends in all the volunteer work that she was involved in, Albion School Pac, East MR pony club, and supporting her children in softball and football.
She spent many years involved with Job's Daughters Bethel 31, where she became a past Honoured Queen and life member. Also an employee of the Royal Bank of Canada for 6 years prior to becoming a stay at home mom. Subsequently she made many friends while employed by both Federal and Provincial Elections. During the last few Christmas seasons, Shelly's smile could be seen gracing the Wooly World kiosk serving her customers.
She remembered all that she met and everyone was considered special. She has lifelong friends from school Debbie, Pauline, Dan, co workers Lois, Gail, Tammy and Jill.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation (Oncology Unit), Cam Neely Foundation, or charity of choice.
Celebration of Life to be held Monday May 22nd 11:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M at Whonnock Lake Hall 27871 - 113th Ave., Maple Ridge.
