Our beloved husband, father, grand- father, great-grandfather, and brother passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2009 after a long illness with Alzheimer's.
Nic was born April 12, 1918 in Muiderberg, The Netherlands, the son of Willemina and Cornilis de Haan. Married in 1950, and immigrated in 1952, he lived for 4 years in Barrhead, AB, and moved to Maple Ridge, B.C. in 1956. His love and devotion to his family was only surpassed by his love for his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ and we are comforted to know that we will see him again in God's time.
Nic will be lovingly remembered by his wife Corry (of almost 59 years), his sons Francis (Sheila), Robin (Johanna) and Roy (Renita), his grandchildren, great grandchildren and his 3 sisters.
The celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Christian Reformed Church - 20245 Dewdney Trunk Rd. in Maple Ridge.
