LUCAS, Robert (Bob) Arnold.
April 16, 1927 - January 23, 2005.
Bob was predeceased by his first wife Barbara (1975), mother of his six children and sister Lillian (Gunnar) Greiersen (1994). Survived by his devoted wife Mary and her son Peter (Paulina) Ponsford, his six children; Doug (Judy), Don (Elaine), Debbie, Michael (Rochelle), Tom (Wendy) and Drew (Kathy), 10 grandchildren, Graham Neale and Rob & Nicole Lucas; Sean (Mandy), Michelle (Rob), & Chris Daly; Tracy Thorn; Richard & Danielle Lucas and Samantha Gillis, 2 great-grandchildren, Sylvia Lucas and Sydney Gillis and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Also survived by two sisters, Berenice (Cliff) Smith and Mary (Don) Thomson. Bob began working in the Parts Department of Lucas Motors of Kerrisdale, he eventually became the Truck Sales Manager. He inherited some of his father's entrepreneurial talent and went on to establish and operate a number of businesses buying and selling "experienced trucks" and other heavy equipment in Squamish, Port Alberni, Richmond and Vancouver, BC. Bob & Mary married July 5, 1979 and they had many happy years together traveling the world. They visited England, France, Switzerland, Ireland, Alaska, Japan, Hawaii, Panama Canal, Caribbean Islands, Israel, Spain, Egypt, and Australia.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 29, 2005, 3:30 pm at the Richmond Funeral Home, 8420 Cambie Road, Richmond, BC. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 565 West 10th Ave., Vancouver, BC V5Z 4J5.
