SPEIRS, Scott William

Scott passed away on the evening of June 6, 2009 with family at his side. He fought courageously with lung cancer for almost 2 years. For over 30 years Scott was a truck driver, most recently for Reimer Trucking. He was good at his job but his first love was golfing. He will be missed by his many golfing buddies "The Usual Suspects" and his other
lifelong friends. His favourite golf course was Riverway in Burnaby and his favourite hole was the seventeenth, his wish was to be remembered there. He was predeceased by his dear former partner Lynn Babin, his father, Bob Speirs, his nephew Zachary Speirs, his cousin Paul Speirs and his beloved cat & roommate "Sammy". He will be sadly missed by his family, his dear mother, Betty Speirs, his siblings: Kelli Speirs, Craig (Diane) Speirs, Leone (Cal) Heinrichs and Melanie Speirs; his Uncle Ted (Linda) Speirs, Aunties Pat Coe and June (Neil) Burgess and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm, Sunday, June 28th at the Firefighter's Social Club, 6515 Bonsor Avenue (at MetroTown) in Burnaby.
