WHEATING ~ Shirley Ada
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grand-mother and great-grandmother at the age of 81. Shirley was predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years, Bryon.
Shirley was born in Prince Albert, Sask. on Sept.19, 1925. She spent her early years in Vancouver before moving with her young family to Maple Ridge in 1964.
She passed away peacefully on January 9, 2007 after a brief illness. During her illness Shirley displayed the courage and grace she displayed throughout her life.
Shirley will be forever remembered by her sons Bryon (Heather), Gary (Christina), Randy (Lisa Rae) and daughter Lynne (Clint) Mahlman; ten grandchildren Norah, Matthew (Saori), Vanessa (Chris), Leah, Graham, Benjamin, Julia, Joshua, Jacob and Samuel; great grandchildren Donovan and Camille; two brothers Ralph and Roy Stuart and their families.
The family would like to express appreciation to all of Shirley’s friends from her variety of community activities – St. George’s Church, Panorama, ECRA, bowling and others – who meant so much to her, particularly in recent years.
Memorial service will be held at St. George’s Anglican Church, 23500 Dewdney Trunk Road, Maple Ridge, Thursday, January 18th at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Roger Cooper officiating.
