Shirley was born in Trail BC and grew up in Creston/Erickson BC with her parents and two sisters, married Bob and moved to Nelson BC to start their family. After moves to Burnaby, Haney and Kelowna they settled for good in Haney (Maple Ridge) in 1961. Here they raised their family and made lifelong friends and memories.

A sports enthusiast and fan her whole life she enjoyed the engaging conversations she would have with her family on a variety of sports.

Shirley's life was her family and she was the center of it, always full of warm loving support and encouragement for her children and their families. No matter what the situation brought she was a great example of honesty, openness, kindness and strength of character. To know her was to love her.

The family would like to extend a special thank you for the warm care and attention given by Dr. Gerald Da Roza and the Renal Department Staff at Royal Columbia Hospital. Shirley never liked being fussed over and requested there be no service. God Bless Her.
