Mellowed by an lifespan of 94 years, Stan's passing was unexpected, yet mercifully quick and without suffering. Although saddened by his death, his family takes comfort in the knowledge that he has been reunited with Joyce, his loving wife of 64 years who predeceased him 4 years ago.
Stan will be missed by his many friends and staff at Baillie House Care Home where he greatly appreciated the extraordinary care and kindness he received. Special thank-yous to Dennis Wiginton, Dave Greenaway and Leasa Lindquist for their friendship and moral support. Dad looked forward to and, delighted in your company.
Stan is survived by his loving children, Darlene (John Patton), Len (Jan), Chuck (Sandy), and Susan (Herb Leggett); grandchildren, Michael Patton, Kaireen Patton (Bryan Reid), Jaret Lewer, Kyle Lewer (Jennifer), Talia and James Butler-Gray; great grandchildren Aaron Reid, Kaelah and Elizabeth Lewer.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, September 24th, at Valley View Funeral Home, 14660 72nd Ave., Surrey BC. Visitation with the family will precede the service, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation or to the BC Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
