With great sadness the family of Tom Casher announces his passing. Tom was born in Vancouver and resided in Maple Ridge since 1967. He is survived by his loving family: Helen, his wife of 51 years; sons, Tom (Susan) of Waterloo, ON and Bill (Fiona) of Doha, Qatar; and grandchildren, Claire, Christopher, Gavin and Tess. His careers included; service in the Navy (WWII), police officer (Vancouver Police Department), projectionist and telecommunications technician (B.C.Tel), until his retirement in 1988. In retirement Tom enjoyed traveling and lawn bowling with Helen and being part of the Fraser View community. Tom was proud and supportive of his family and always ready to help friends.
