Velda Margaret McLean
(nee Morrison)
April 5, 1931 ~ December 17, 2006
Velda passed away peacefully in Ridge Meadows Hospital in the presence of her family. She is survived by her loving husband Neil and her 5 children: Allan (Carol) McLean, Danny (Judy) McLean, David (Carol) McLean, Melody (Jeff) Norburn, Bev (Sonny) Bihari, 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and 3 sisters (Catherine, Margaret and Marian) and many nieces and nephews. She is pre- deceased by her parents, 6 brothers and 1 sister. She was a dedicated volunteer for many organizations - with Girl Guides for over 25 years, the Kiwanis, the Legion, many schools, the Stave Falls Scottish Dancers and innumerable others.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 29, 2006 at 1:30 P.M. at Garden Hill Funeral Chapel, 11765-224th Street, Maple Ridge. Her family would like to thank the caring and compassionate staff on the 2nd floor West of Ridge Meadows Hospital for the excellent care provided throughout her stay there.
She will forever be remembered and loved by those fortunate to have known her.
