WILLEMS – Willem Johannes
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Bill, with his family by his side on June 12, 2008 in Maple Ridge. He was born on July 3, 1926 in Kromenie, Netherlands. He will be greatly missed by Anne, his dear wife and best friend of 57 years. He will also be missed by his children: Anneke (Paul), John (Jennifer), Rob (Lori), Michelle, and Debbie (Mike). Also eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
Bill will always be remembered for his quick wit and warm heart. In his retirement years, Bill loved to travel and enjoyed the hobby of wood carving.
A special thanks to the caregivers on 2-west and I.C.U. at Ridge Meadows Hospital for their care and kindness.
A Celebration of his life will be held at the Christian Reformed Church, 20245 Dewdney Trunk Road, Maple Ridge at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 20th, 2008. Pastor Martin Vellekoop will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the B.C. Lung Association would be greatly appreciated.
