Re: Onni offers Pitt Meadows 11 acres for sports fields.

The council meeting in Pitt Meadows was scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 16.

The mayor and some councilors did not arrive until about 7:50 p.m.

If I was a cynical man, I might think that the mayor and a few councillors were attempting to show disrespect for the public attending the meeting.

There was an overflow crowd because this was going to be a contentious meeting, having to do with rezoning agricultural land to business to accommodate the building of warehouses.

It is disgusting that the time of the large number of public in attendance was not considered by the mayor and a few councillors – for shame.

I noted that Couns. Bill Dingwall and Tracy Miyashita were there on time.
