Stop signs are not solution
Editor, The News:
Re: Commission refocuses on farmland (The News, Sept. 14).
Pitt Meadows Coun. Janis Elkerton needs to have a reality check.
Does she really think a few stop signs are going to discourage traffic?
Realistically, traffic is increasing and will continue to do so. People love their cars, and frankly, I haven’t seen anything yet that would successfully give us reason to give them up for a better way of getting around.
Get real, Ms. Elkerton, you need to come up with a much wiser solution than stop signs to get us out of our vehicles.
Roads are just a by product of this necessary evil. Put your thinking cap on if you want to make changes that are realistic.
