Tax cuts over education in B.C.

Re: Trustees see $10 million shortfall (The News, Feb. 19).
So restoring funding to provide respectable class sizes and support for students who require support would take about $5.5 million dollars SD42.
In Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows, where we have about 15,000 students, that works out to $365 per student per year. That would put education funding in our school division close to the Canadian average.
I think our kids are worth at least as much as children across Canada.
Unfortunately, our government has prioritized tax cuts for corporations over education for B.C. children.
