Re: ‘People can’t eat shopping malls’ (Letters, Sept. 4).
A letter writer makes the oberservation “people cannot eat shopping malls and houses.” No, but the employment created allows the wages to buy the food to eat and the houses to live in.
The increased business tax revenue helps to offset the ever increasing property tax bill that threatens to oust people from their homes, especially people on fixed incomes.
