Instead of making Coun. Corisa Bell feel unwelcome and like an interloper, Maple Ridge Mayor Ernie Daykin and the more experienced councillors should be showing some leadership here.
Young women like Ms. Bell should be encouraged to think for themselves and ask questions. After all, they are the future of Maple Ridge taxpayers.
Why would you want to discourage them from participating by treating them badly?
