Ridge Meadows atom A1 Rustlers finish third

The Ridge Meadows Rustlers closed the atom A1 hockey season last weekend by finishing third at a tournament in Chilliwack.

The Rustlers opened the tournament with wins over Chilliwack, North Vancouver and Kamloops. Nick Amsler, Damian Richards and Emma Hall were selected MVPs in those games.

Ridge, however, lost 5-1 to South Delta in the semi-finals. Austin Wahl was game MVP.

The Rustlers then downed Kamloops 8-3 in their final game to finish third. Marcus Robinson was the game MVP.

Matthew David, Dylan Tonks, Ryan Denney, Zach Guldemet, Jakob Mainhout, Emmett Garrett and Sean McCloskey all contributed offensively during the tournament. Keenan Rea, Tanner Eaton and Nick Pederson were defensive standouts. Nathin Weloy and Evan Allen both played well in net.
