Maple Ridge Ramblers rule at Nanaimo badminton tourney
The Maple Ridge secondary badminton squad cleaned up at the Nanaimo Junior Invitational on March 12.
Placing first in their respective events on the boys’ side were Vinnu Aniyan, Ethan Stephan, Richard Canicula, Tony Ng, Christian Dumas, Kalum Skipper, Cole Higgins, Ben Hsieh, Ziggy Martin, Nico Tassone, Clayton Skipper, Bryan Choi, and Pavan Toor.
Among the girls, Laura Tacon, Chanmi Oh, Megan Kuo, Chantelle Stewart, Bianca Constantin, Shih-Yun Wang, Mariah Derrick, Pei-Shu Wang, Laura Escueta, Cathy Song, and Sarah Emmonds each had first-place finishes in their events.
