Ramblers dominate badminton tourney

The Maple Ridge secondary badminton team held its annual invitational tournament last weekend, with the Ramblers capturing all the major medals. Laura Tacon, Vinnu Aniyan, and Chantelle Stewart were each triple crown winners, grabbing first place in their respective singles, doubles, and mixed doubles events.

Gold medal winners included Clayton Skipper, Adam Zuker-Nizol, Eliza Lim, Richard Canicula, Alison Lim, Kalum Skipper, Cole Higgins, Shih-Yun Wang, Christian Dumas, and Megan Kuo. Second-place finishers included Brian Choi, Pavan Toor, Kavan Toor, Laura Escueta, Tony Ng, Jeren Liu, Pei-Shu Wang, Emma Liu, Brandon Lim, Michael Choy, and Li-Ya Wang.

Tim Cho, Clarence Liu, Julia Stanley, Ben Hseih, and Tara Quist each finished third.
