Burrards take Adanac tourney

The Ridge Meadows Burrards peewee girls squad won gold at the Adanac Challenge Cup Tournament in Coquitlam over the long weekend.

Led by team captains Megan Stewart and Paige Bell, the team went undefeated with a perfect 5-0 record.

In the final, the Burrards beat host Coquitlam 7-0 with solid team defence and great goaltending by Candace McDole.  Sarah Ickert scored twice in the final to solidify the victory.
