Ridge MeadowsTriple AAA Thunder take Newton tourney

The Ridge Meadows Triple AAA Thunder girls’ softball team was victorious at the Newton Minor Softball Association’s peewee baseball tournament last weekend.

The Triple AAA Thunder was undefeated at the tourney, opening with a 9-1 win over Chilliwack before beating Newton 9-2. In the final round robin game, Ridge Meadows beat New Westminster 9-4, setting up a tournament final rematch between the two teams.

The Triple AAA Thunder had no problems with New West the second time around, winning 11-2 in a four-inning mercy game.

Team members include Chelsey and Cydney Turner, Amy Hill, Carmen Partridge, Jamie Robinson, Kale’a Gjaltema, Cassidy Corbett, Megan Aird, Mackenzie Emerson, Alex Healy, Codie Wright and Jessica Foulds.
