Maple Ridge's Yorke lone local at U-17 B.C. Cup
Maple Ridge’s Dalton Yorke will be the lone Maple Ridge representative at the U-17 B.C. Cup this weekend in Salmon Arm.
A defenceman for the Vancouver North East Chiefs of the B.C. Major Midget League, six-foot-one Yorke had 13 points in 40 games this past season.
He is among just 36 blueliners from around the province invited to the U-17 B.C. Cup this weekend, the first step in the Team Pacific U-17 tryout process.
Last year, Yorke was the only local player invited to the U-16 B.C. Cup, and was later invited to the U-16 provincial camp.
