Local D-man picked for U-17 tryouts
Maple Ridge’s Dalton Yorke will be going to B.C. Hockey’s U-17 Pacific Region Summer Camp next month after qualifying at the U-17 B.C. Cup in May.
The camp is the next phase in B.C. Hockey’s selection process for the U-17 Team Pacific squad, which will be travelling to Quebec for the U-17 World Hockey Challenge in December.
Yorke got the call last week, and will be one of 67 players from across B.C. and Alberta to be picked for the five-day selection camp in Kamloops. Yorke is one of only 16 defenceman from B.C. to get an invite, as well as the only local player to make the cut.
