Seven Marauders players were named to the AA Eastern Conference all-star team this week.

On offense, Joe Schuster got the nod at quarterback, while Anthony Gagnon was named a receiver on the team. Jonathan Rickman was named an all-star offensive lineman.

On defence, linebackers Matt Chichka and Ben Zabierek got the nod, as did defensive lineman Cole White and defensive back Tanner Hartley.

Coach Matt Todd said the number of all-star selections is a sign Pitt Meadows Secondary School’s football program is moving in the right direction.

“Two years ago we didn’t have any conference all-stars and this year we have seven,” said Todd.

Schuster, Gagnon, Hartley, and Chichka are also in the running for the provincial AA all-stars, which will be announced later this month.
