Girls lacrosse wins two silver medals

Two local teams medalled at the Subway B.C. Lacrosse Association (BCLA) Women’s Under 12 and 15 Field Lacrosse Invitational Tournament held over the weekend at the Willoughby Park Complex, at the Langley Events Centre.

Ten teams from the Lower Mainland competed, and the Ridge Meadows girls won silver in he Under-15 tournament, while a combined Burnaby/Ridge Meadows team also won silver in the Under-12 category.

Caitlyn Greenlay of the Burnaby/Ridge Meadows team won the Warrior Fair Play coaching selection award.

Anna McGregor of the U-12 Burnaby/Ridge Meadows team and Megan Stewart of the U-15 Ridge team both won player Warrior Sports Canada Fair Play awards.
