Burrard bantams win silver

The Ridge Meadows Burrards Bantam A1 lacrosse team took silver at Coquitlam’s Trevor Wingrove Memorial Tournament.

In the final game they met a tough hometown Port Coquitlam Saints team, which had already beaten Ridge in their first game of the tournament by a score of 7-3.

In the gold-medal game, PoCo came out strong with a 4-1 lead after the first period, and 8-2 heading into the third, and cruised to an 8-5 victory.

• Minor Lacrosse is hosting a dance on June 21 from 7:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the Pitt Meadows Heritage Hall. There will be a DJ and cash bar. Advance are limited. See http://www.rmburrards.com for info.
