Green Things and Budget Buddies at Vancouver’s International Auto Show

The 2015 auto show kicks off tonight in Vancouver, and runs Tuesday, March 24 to Sunday, March 29 at the Convention Centre.

Vancouver’s International Auto Show kicks off its six-day 2015 appearance tonight – and Black Press’s Driveway crew is all over the hottest rods, the greenest hybrids, the flashiest of the finer things, and the economic choice for a buyer on a budget.

(To coincide with the auto show, Driveway is also running its Plug-In to Win contest – enter here until Sunday to win a Nissan LEAF, and the winner will be announced on March 30.)

Tonight, Tuesday, is the show’s grand opening, and tomorrow (March 25) is the ‘Green Ride and Drive’ day. The show concludes on Sunday, March 29, with the Hot Rod Association of B.C. arriving at the Convention Centre via a gathering at Jack Poole Plaza.

Here are a list of stories from Driveway‘s authors, previewing the week ahead:

“The Super Cars and Exotics are back. On opening night, there will be super cars valued at $15 million on the plaza. Every kid will want to eyeball the 100-per cent electric Big Foot Monster Truck. There are also some sharp looking concepts, such as the Cadillac Elmiraj.”

5 Hot New Crossovers on Show in Vancouver‘ by Zack Spencer

“The Acura RDX has been a big hit for this premium brand. Based on the ever-popular Honda CR-V, this Acura is filled with lots of luxury touches for a modest price…”

Vancouver Auto Show: It’s Not Just About Glitz on Wheels‘ by Alexandra Straub

“Auto shows dazzle with glitzy expensive new cars but among them are some hidden less expensive gems.

“You can still get a great vehicle, with a fully warranty, AND some perks for under $20,000.”

Trucks with Pulling Power: Vancouver Auto Show‘ by Ian Harwood

The all-new design is turning heads all across Canada. This mid-size truck fills a void here.
