The Ridge Meadows Chamber of Commerce is once again running a golf tournament.

After a 14-year absence, the Ridge Meadows Chamber of Commerce is bringing back its annual golf tournament.

The event goes on Sept. 13 at Golden Eagle Golf Club, but the Chamber is already signing up golfers, and the tourney is about half full. Chamber CEO Kristi Maier said they will take 72 golfers in 18 teams.

This is a fun tournament, and everyone in a foursome will shoot from the best (closest) ball position.

"This will be a good time – it's about community and networking," said Maier.

She said golfers can sign up as a team of four, or even as individuals and be assigned to a team.

The event will start with a noon tailgate barbecue including burgers and drinks, with some fun games, then a shotgun start will begin the golfing at 1:30 p.m.

After the tournament, there will be a dinner at 6:30 p.m., and during dinner the organizers will announce winners and giveaway prizes.

The cost for Chamber members is $215 for singles, or $820 per foursome (prices do not include GST). Non-member prices are $235 and $900.
