Adopt-A-Block and the Alouette River Management Society will be cleaning up the shores of the Alouette River on Friday, and are looking for volunteer help.
Volunteers will be at ALLCO Park on Friday for about two hours beginning at noon, to pick up litter from the park area.
During recent flooding events, there has been a larger amount of debris than normal left on the riverbank.

“This event will help to remove this extra litter, and help to decrease pollution into the Alouette River,” notes the ARMS social media page. “It is also a great way to spend a few hours outside if you’re feeling cooped up!”
All equipment needed will be provided, and COVID safety protocols will be observed.
