The CEED Centre in Maple Ridge will be hosting an Artisan Christmas Market this Saturday, Nov. 30.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Sewing CEEDlings event will be held at the CEED Centre Neighbourhood House at 11739 223rd Street. It will feature paintings, artwork, driftwood creations, fibre art and more. Those attending can enter a draw for a gift basket, and enjoy a complimentary hot apple cider.
The Sewing CEEDlings are hosting the event, and are a group of sewers who meet weekly at the centre. The sales from the Christmas market will go back into their program, which welcomes all comers, at any skill level.
"This has and is intended to build community," said CEEDlings facilitator Lisa Charron. "Our location is small, but somehow we have managed to fit 10 makers, all local, along with our group, and have drawn quite a few craft market customers in past markets."
