A black and white gala will be taking place in support of women and children fleeing domestic violence.
Give Her Wings is the inaugural fundraiser for the Cythera Transition House Society organized by Tisha Scoffins and Lucy Meechan, both current board members of Cythera Transition House Society.
People are asked to dress in their best black and white outfits. When guests arrive they will receive a signature welcome drink there will be handheld snacks and appetizers available through the evening, in addition to a dessert bar.
There will be a photo booth for guests to take photos together and an area to make personalized take-home flower bouquets. A DJ will be spinning the tunes and there will be a specially choreographed dance performance.
Embodiment of ink will be offering flash tattoos – a pre-drawn ready-to-go small tattoo, with a portion of every tattoo purchased going to the cause.
A silent auction is also taking place, along with a 50/50.
The night will feature emcee Jennifer Palma, with Global BC, who was formerly on the Cythera board of directors.
