Brag about your neighbourhood

Win $20,000

Royal LePage is holding it’s second annual Great Neighbourhood Contest and the public has until Oct. 21, 2011 to submit their entries, in hopes of winning the $20,000 grand prize.

The company is encouraging Canadians to submit online entries explaining why they love where they live and what makes their neighbourhood so great.

Judges will pick the winning entry based on how creative, original, informative and compelling the entry is. The winner will be awarded $20,000, the runner up will receive $3,500 and the second runner up will win $1,500.

“Canadians have a lot to be proud about and the My Great Neighbourhood contest allows residents from coast to coast to creatively showcase the many reasons why they love where they live,” Phil Soper, president and chief executive of Royal LePage, said. “We encourage Canadians to share the beauty of their city, the caring spirit of their neighbours or what makes them proud to live in their community.”

The contest started in 2008 and is now in its third year.
