Nigel Tucker is the musical director for a concert of Celtic music in Maple Ridge on Nov. 2 to benefit the Santa parada and Christmas in the Park.

An evening of Celtic music will take place on Nov. 2 to raise money for the annual Maple Ridge Santa Claus Parade and Christmas in the Park.

Master of Ceremonies will be Cristin Bostrom and the concert musical director will be Nigel Tucker. Lillian Cumberbirch of the Wilson Senior Center Honeycombs will be the senior accompanist for the evening.

There will be performances by Tam and Shelly Gordy of the Navvies, Jesse Kazimer and Emiline Van Meal of the North Shore Celtic Ensemble, Lydia Querengesser of the Young Peoples Opera Society of British Columbia and Brian Nash of the Vancouver Welsh Mens' Choir.

The concert will take place from 8-10 p.m. at the Burnett Fellowship Church at 20639 – 123rd Avenue.

Tickets are $10 per person, including HST, and will be available at the door. All proceeds will go towards the annual Christmas festival.

Over $10,000 is needed to put on the event every year.
