To celebrate a decade of Adopt-A-Block, the Alouette River Management Society will be hosting a cleanup event.

It's taking place on March 2 at the Rivers Heritage Centre (24959 Alouette Rd.) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"Join us in marking a decade of community care with a special litter cleanup at Allco Park," said Kristen Munk, acting communications manager for ARMS.

"For 10 years, the Alouette River Management Society and our Adopt-A-Block Program have been dedicated to keeping our neighborhoods clean and beautiful – let’s celebrate by giving back to the spaces we love."

There is a short agenda, which starts with a welcome at 11 a.m., and ends with treats and a thank-you at 1:40 p.m.

"Bring your friends, family and plenty of energy as we help keep our community clean," invites Munk. "Supplies will be provided and ready to make a difference. Here’s to 10 more years of community impact."
