Maple Ridge firefighters will be cooling off neighbourhoods across the city starting at the end of July.
Hot Summer Nights is back, a family-friendly event where residents can meet local firefighters, tour the fire trucks, participate in safety demonstrations and learn about emergency preparedness and fire safety – all while beating the summer heat under the spray of a fire hose.
“We are excited to bring back Hot Summer Nights, which are always a highlight for our community,” said Fire Chief Dave Samson.
“Come meet our firefighters, learn about fire safety and prevention, and check out our trucks. We look forward to seeing everyone and making this summer memorable and safe. Remember to bring your bathing suit and be ready to have some fun,” added the chief.
Hot Summer Nights will be taking place from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. every Wednesday from July 24 to Aug. 14.
Locations include:
• July 24 – Firefighters Park Fire Hall 4 at 11249 238 Street
• July 31 – Laity View Elementary School at 21023 123 Avenue; and at Webster's Corner Elementary School at 25554 Dewdney Trunk Road
