Maple Ridge charities will be able to apply for a grant from the Maple Ridge Community Foundation starting at the end of the month.
The 2024 granting cycles opens on Monday, Sept. 30 and applications will be accepted until 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1.
Since 2000, the community foundation has awarded more than $1 million in grants to local registered charities dedicated to building a stronger, healthier Maple Ridge.
"Through the support of generous community donors, we are able to make a lasting impact across a wide range of causes, from education and health to arts, environment, and beyond," said the foundation online.
The grants committee, made up of dedicated directors and volunteers, will be carefully reviewing each application to ensure funding reaches causes that matter in the community.
A wide range of projects will be considered, that either provide a direct service to the community or an innovative approach to a community initiative.
Grant recipients must participate in the foundation's annual grants presentation held in November/December.
