A flower shop celebrating 25 years in the community is hosting a free event for the public.
Sandra and Nigel Taylor opened Westgate Flower Garden on June 20, 2000.
To celebrate, the couple are hosting the free event from 2-4 p.m. at Haney House Museum, 11612 224 St., Maple Ridge, on Sunday, July 20.
There will be live entertainment, including a harpist and a performance by artist Brenna Quan on the joy of flowers.
Sunflower Cafe, a farm to table restaurant in east Maple Ridge, will be supplying an array of fine foods.
Sandra has invited five community organizations she has supported over the years to be a part of the event – Maple Ridge Community Foundation, the Asante Centre, Community Services, STORM, and WomanCare Pregnancy Centre – to spread the word on the important services available in the community.
There will also be a birthday cake.
"We are so excited to share our 25th celebration of our flower garden with everyone," said the couple online.
"Let us spoil you with all of our grateful hearts alongside some beautiful harp music," they said thanking their loyal customers, friends, and fellow flower lovers.
