The The Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire (IODE): Dewdney Chapter has received $15,000 towards their charitable works its members perform.

Dewdney Chapter members Beverley Montague, Trudy Dumont, Elaine Sinton, Vicky Gall, Margaret Strocel, Lillian Mack and Louvain Barr received the grant at a funding recognition event with MLAs Doug Bing (Pitt Meadows-Maple Ridge) and Marc Dalton (Maple Ridge-Mission).

IODE Canada is a national women's charitable organization. Women of all ages, from all walks of life and educational backgrounds, meet in local chapters for fun, friendship and community volunteerism.

Members volunteer with and for people, focusing on children, education and community services.

Each IODE chapter has the independence to choose and support projects in their own communit
