Haney Farmer’s Market Society has cancelled the Pitt Meadows location where farmer’s food and handicrafts were sold Sunday mornings for the past two years.
“We enjoyed our market in Pitt Meadows. The park at Spirit Square is a beautiful location with lots of parking and central to a growing community,” said Bernice Gehring, society chair.
But owing to several factors, it’s not feasible to hold a farmer’s market at this time, she said a release.
The Haney Farmers Market Society is a volunteer driven non-profit organization which manages the Saturday morning Haney Farmers Market in Maple Ridge and the Thursday afternoon Port Coquitlam Farmers Market.
The society, though, said it could return to Pitt Meadows as the population grows.
