The Patch Brewery will feature three craft beers at the inaugural Ridge Meadows Home Show beer garden.

The Patch Brewery will be the exclusive supplier of craft beer at the 2025 Ridge Meadows Home Show's inaugural beer garden.

Graham Vanstone, executive director of the show that sees more than 22,000 people pass through the gates each year, is excited about the new venture.

"We've clearly wanted one and we now have partners locally," said Vanstone about the Maple Ridge brewery.

Rebecca Laity, owner of The Patch Brewery, is also thrilled about the opportunity.

"We know that the Home Show is one of the biggest events in Maple Ridge. It brings out thousands of residents and we thought this would be a great way to contribute to this event," said Laity, noting that the show will not only provide them with the chance to show residents of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows who haven't yet been to their location, but also residents of other communities who haven't even heard of them, to try their craft beers.

Laity said they were honoured the Ridge Meadows Home Show reached out to them to collaborate.

There will be 250 seats in the beer garden which will be located to the right of the main stage.

The brewery will have three beers on tap all weekend at the show: The Sour Patch; Laity Lager; and The Fat Tractor.

Each beer, explained Laity, is very different from one another.

The Laity Lager is clean and crisp, she noted, adding that it is a light beer that will appeal to the masses.

The Sour Patch has a very different flavour than traditional beer.

"It is refreshing and clean with tart sourness. This beer is always rotating to a new fruit every few months. Our current flavour is the Strawberry Lime Salted Gose which is juicy and zingy with a hint of salty flavour," described Laity.

Finally The Fat Tractor is a hazy IPA which has an intense hop aroma with citrus, stone, and tropical fruit notes, but that is less bitter than a traditional IPA.

"Our brewer Michael, is such an amazing brewer and really takes pride in all of the beer he makes. You can really taste the quality that he has crafted," said Laity.

"There is a really good variety and something for everyone."

The Ridge Meadows Home Show takes place May 2-4 this year at the Albion Fairgrounds along Jim Robson Way, north of Lougheed Highway, in Maple Ridge.

More than 300 exhibitor booths will be on-site featuring everything needed to renovate, decorate, and landscape your home. There is a cooking section, a health and beauty section, and guests can test drive the latest equipment for fitness and feeling good. The annual Psychic Fair can also be found indoors, in addition to the food sampling area.
